Rising to Challenge-
Our Collective COVID
Response
Our work on COVID Response in first and second wave has been exemplary and
comprehensive encompassing humanitarian relief, economic restoration working
with vulnerable segments (single women, old couple, destitute and PVTGs),
returning migrants, youth, small-marginal farmers and has been duly
acknowledged by district and state governments and various forums.
Transforming Rural India Foundation has drawn support from stakeholders such as CBOs, donors, CSR
and Government agencies has taken measures to prevent spread of virus locally through awareness
building, providing humanitarian support and keeping the economy alive in stranded India. Amidst this
situation, our block teams took initiatives to spread awareness for the precautionary messages
against COVID19.
The Village Organisations and Self
Help Groups are evolved as the
effective channel to facilitate COVID19
response in their villages, supporting
the returnee migrants and vulnerable
families, assisting the Panchayat and
Front-Line Workers in their response
activities. We extend our support to
Governments of Madhya Pradesh,
Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar
Pradesh, Uttarakhand who worked to
strengthen and supplement public
health care system, create awareness
and increased capacity building of
community and front-line health
workers to mitigate the risk and
provide relief to meet the daily food
requirement and rebooting
economies.
