Chhavi Rajawat, Dolly Sarpanch, Roshni Perween, Mausam Kumari, Rohini Patnaik, and Varsha Raikwar are the heroes leading the charge for gender equality and progress in a land where tradition often meets resistance to change. Their stories serve as examples of hope, proving that rural women can be the catalysts for transformation.

Chhavi Rajawat: A Village’s Savior

Chhavi Rajawat, the corporate high-flyer who chose her hometown over the corporate ladder, epitomizes the essence of rural leadership. When the drought-hit village of Soda in Rajasthan called for help, she didn’t hesitate to return and lead. With a population of 10,000, Soda faced severe challenges, from water scarcity to lack of electricity, toilets, and proper roads. Chhavi and her team began by reclaiming the village’s only reservoir that had run dry, eventually desilting acres of land with the support of the Coca-Cola India Foundation.
