In Jharkhand, assistant teachers will now be able to serve till the age of 60 and their honorarium will be increased up to 50 immediately after passing the assessment test conducted by the government.
The Jharkhand government has approved new service rules for assistant teachers working on monthly honorarium basis in government schools . Now assistant teachers will be able to serve till the age of 60 years and on passing the assessment test conducted by the government, their honorarium will be increased up to 50 immediately. 62 thousand 876 teachers will be benefited from this new rule approved in the cabinet meeting of the Jharkhand government late on Wednesday evening. The cabinet has approved a total of 51 proposals. According to an important decision, the government will provide free mobile phones to 21 thousand students of 136 residential schools run under the welfare department in the state. 26 crore rupees will be spent on this scheme.
According to a decision taken in the meeting, the first page of the notebook to be distributed to the school children of class 1 to 12 will have information about the schemes of the government. It has been decided to make Ranchi IIM a knowledge partner for the pre-budget workshop of the state government. Similarly, a decision was also taken in the cabinet to take service of Excise Corporation of Chhattisgarh as a consultant to implement the new policy of liquor sale in the state.
