She is currently working as Principal Advisor in the Centre for Urban Governance and NRM and Decentralised Governance at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis(AIGGPA), Bhopal.
She is a Natural Resource Management professional / Ecologist, working in the interphase area of natural and social sciences, to address the socio-ecological concerns for sustainable management of natural resources, sustainable livelihoods of rural communities. Committed to improving the lives and livelihoods particularly of women, indigenous and rural communities.
More than 30 years’ experience of working with academics, multilateral organizations such as UNESCO and NGO in various urban and rural landscapes in India. She has acquired expertise in training, research and evidence for policy and practice. Her strength lies in climate resilience and Integrated Natural Resource Management,
She worked as a Professor in the faculty area of Ecosystem and Environmental Management at Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
She earned her Ph.D in Botany from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. She has authored several research papers in national and international journals of repute, book chapters, co-edited books and project/technical reports.
