Shri Shashi Ranjan
Sashi Ranjan is a dynamic civil servant and a 2014 batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre. As the Deputy Commissioner of Khunti district in Jharkhand, he is actively involved in initiatives aimed at promoting education, rural development, and livelihood enhancement.
Recognizing the pivotal role of education in nation-building, Sashi Ranjan has undertaken an ambitious plan to establish libraries in all 149 panchayats of Khunti district. These libraries will be managed by the Tejaswini girls, creating a platform for knowledge dissemination and fostering a culture of learning in the rural areas.
In addition to his focus on education, Sashi Ranjan has implemented the Kisan Pathsala - Integrated Livelihood Farm project as a pilot initiative in Karra block. This project aims to provide farmers with gainful employment, increase their income, and equip them with new technical knowledge. Through a convergence of various departments and a hub-and-spoke model of collectivization, the project emphasizes value addition, training, and on-field replication.
Sashi Ranjan's commitment to rural development, innovative thinking, and integrated efforts have made him an influential figure in driving positive change in Khunti district. His initiatives serve as a catalyst for empowering communities, improving livelihoods, and promoting sustainable development.
